Hi, I'm Murphy. I am a 2006 Pony of the Americas cross mare and about 13H tall. I am smart and enjoy attention, but I am very unsure of people. I need an experienced and patient adopter or trainer to work with me and give me time to learn to trust people. I am halter broke, but I have not been trained to ride. I get along fine with other horses, and I would be happy living my life as a companion to another horse. I was acquired with 64 ponies from a neglect situation, and we were all afraid of people when we were rescued. Are you that special person who can help me to reach my full potential? I am located in Pilot Point, TX, and my adoption fee is $300.Adoption processDogs are adopted by completing an adoption application that will be reviewed by our volunteer staff. If potential adopters have a pet, we will check their veterinarian reference. Upon adoption of the dog, an adoption agreement must be signed. The average adoption fee for dogs is $125, but there can be some variation depending on age and status of the dog. We have two different adoption procedures for horses, depending upon which rescue program the chosen horse is in. These procedures can be found on our website www.hopeforhorses.com.Shelter locationThe rescue's main office is located in New Waverly, Texas. Most of our animals are located at foster homes.
