Skylar is a big, beautiful blue roan Tennessee Walking Horse mare with lots of trail riding experience, wonderful temperament, and fabulous gait.In addition to her experience as a trail horse, Skylar has been in our training program for the past 60 days where weâve added extensive groundwork and additional work under saddle. We believe that a solid foundation of training leads to a reliable and safe horse both on the ground and under saddle. It all starts with a good and willing horse, like Skylar.Skylar is very friendly and connected to her human partner. She is a willing learner and picks up on concepts quickly. Sheâs been wonderful to work with and train due to her sweet temperament. Her ground manners are excellent and sheâs very good at liberty because of her trusting connection with her human.Sklyar has a smooth and consistent 4-beat gait and a big flat walk. This girl can cover some ground! She rides out alone or in a group. She moves forward easily and goes wherever she is pointed. She stops with light pressure and listens to her rider.Skylar is a big and stout girl standing at a solid 15.3 without shoes, she's got good, solid hooves and great conformation overall.Skylarâs training will continue through the fall and winter months, but she is available now at a price based on her current status and the level of training she has received. You are welcome to come meet and ride Skylar if you are interested. She is a rare find and will NOT be posted on auction! Our goal is to help Skylar be the best she can be and find her a wonderful home when the time is right.
