Gabbana was part of a rescue that came to Longmeadow at the beginning of this year. She was unhandled and terrified of people, and her short history was full of neglect. She arrived as an orphan, and was covered in cockleburs and external parasites. She had no previous vet care, and was in desperate need of our help. Our staff and volunteers quickly went to work, beginning her rehabilitation and attempting to become her friend.It took a long time for Gabbana to warm up to anyone. We knew her past was full of trauma, and we understood that her training would be complicated. But every day, little by little, Gabbana began to trust us. Before we knew it, she was able to be haltered, led, and turned out with friends! Now, she waits at the gate to be brought in, and loves getting attention from our groundwork team and staff members. She had such an amazing turnaround, and we couldn’t be happier!Now, six months after her arrival, Gabbana is ready to find her forever home! She is a sweet filly who gets along well with other young horses. Gabbana will need an experienced adopter to continue her training and to help her reach her true potential.
