Description:
Sugar is a registered quarter horse who was foaled at the Stirrup Ranch in South Dakota. We got her from her previous owners who had purchased her at an auction. We got her as a three year old who was only halter broken. Last summer she had two months of professional training under saddle. She showed a lot of potential to go in any direction someone wanted to train her. She had not been ridden again until this summer and by a beginner, and she is not a beginner horse. Due to poor direction from her trainer and an inexperienced rider, she bucked him off and took some calming to get her out of her bucking. She will stand nicely for the farrier and loads into the trailer well. She is sometimes easy to catch, but lately been being difficult. She can be sweet, and she can be bossy and think she's in charge of you and the other horses. She has holes in her training and needs consistent work with an experienced horse person. She has excellent breeding and has potential, but needs work. For the right owner, I believe she could be a really great horse.
