If you have been looking for that perfect gaited trail horse, look no further. Rocky is the one for you. Horses like Rocky are very rare and hard to find. Iâve never owned one like him in my life. Rocky is very fancy, broke, and is very safe, quiet, and gentle. He is the definition of a Gentle Giant. He is a finished trail horse and has done ranch work, checking fences, gathering cattle, and catching cattle. He knows how to handle a rope and has no problem pulling calves. NOTHING phases this guy. He is seasoned on the organized and local trail rides. He has been to big parades. He has ridden in the mountains. He will ride in a group or alone. He has a JAM on stop. You put your feet forward or slightly put pressure in your strips and say whoa, he is stopping right then and there and has a great backup. Very catty on a cow left to right when asked. He will carry a flag. He is SAFE for advanced beginners and up due to him being handy broke and can be ridden with leg pressure. He is sure-footed on the trail and HONEST. Walking through ditches, logs, water, etc., point, and goes kind of ride. My favorite thing about him is his gentle and safe nature; my four-year-old son loves to ride him!! Donât worry about having difficulty mounting him because he will side-pass over to the mounting block so you can mount him with the snap of your fingers. Rocky would make a great trail competition horse and has been used on an obstacle course. We have ridden him many miles and has seen it all. He is suitable for all riders who know the general basics of riding or anyone who wants a fun, safe, relaxing, stress-free horse to ride. He is good for the farrier and easy to bathe and load in a trailer. He is well trained and has a nice one-hand neck rein with just two fingers or direct rein. It doesnât matter, it depends on whatâs comfortable for you: side pass, backs, rides with no bridle, a good turnaround, nice smooth gait, and a short lope when asked. He honestly feels like youâre riding a small horse with the handle and moves that he has. You can also shoot a gun as well as crack a whip. Rocky is as close to bombproof as he can be.
