Only reason Iâm selling this mare is because I want to retire and I canât afford to keep her. She is truly the best all around Trail horse Iâve ever had! She rarely EVER spooks, sheâs the first one to cross scary things when none of the other horses will, loads great, stands quietly for the farrier, you can walk right up to her in the pasture, and rides alone if you enjoy nice quiet rides . The only negative I can think of is that she can tend to put weight on very easily and she does best on a dry lot with short grass grazing periods. This is an extremely difficult decision, and I would prefer she go to a woman who would love her and who would treat her kindly. She is crossed with a saddle horse and standardbred. Her slow gait is nice, but she does get pacey when you speed her up. She is very responsive to leg commands, and is very willing to let you set the pace. Iâve recently started riding her bitless, and she is doing great. Or she will take the bit easily as well. As far as height, sheâs taller than 14.3, but shorter than 15hh.
