Nacho Cheese is a 20-year-old gelding that is as handsome as the day is long. This buckskin gentleman has made great improvements in our training program. Nacho can now work in the round pen and lunge line respectfully. Nacho is improving greatly on moving his fore and hindquarters from the ground, being fly sprayed, and standing quietly when tacked up. Nacho Cheese stands quietly tied for grooming and handling his feet. He has also mastered being caught and haltered easily, sending over obstacles and through gates, leading through the obstacle course, standing at the mounting block, and standing while the flag is touching him. The greatest improvements Nacho has made is his behavior around mares, Nacho has been a complete gentleman to handle when mares are around, and his former stallion-like behavior only is seen over the fence during turn out. At this time we have sat on and ridden Nacho once. He is a work in progress, and has the potential to learn! Nacho would excel in a home as a well-mannered pasture pal that could easily compete in hand trail competitions, or in a home that would continue to slowly work with him under saddle.HOW TO ADOPT: Interested in adopting this horse or other equines at the ARL?
