Homer is a 10 year old bay pinto gelding pony that stands 12 hands tall. This goofy gelding has been absolutely shining in our training program! Homer stands quietly at the hitching post for grooming, hoof care, fly spray, tacking up, and affection. Homer works great in the round pen, on the lunge line, backing, yielding his fore and hind quarters, and stands quietly at the mounting block. Homer can not only be led through the obstacle course, but can be RODE through it too! Homer has been doing great under saddle, direct reins, whoa, and backs. Due to him coming to us initially with severe slipper feet, Homer is recommended as a walk/trot pony. Homer is not be at a place where a kid could hop up on and go, but with time, patience, and love, he will get there!
