Description:

Bentley is a 14 year old, 14.3 or 15 hand QH type trail horse. I bought him about 2 ½ years ago to get back into riding but have only been able to ride a few times. He is too young, athletic, and handsome to be a pasture ornament. He will cross water without complaint, handle vines and downed trees like a champ and stand nicely while his rider chats with friends. He loads and trailers well even after time off. He is good for the vet and farrier and does fine with other horses and with farm dogs. He is always easy to catch and leads well. He has not been ridden in over a year so may be a bit rusty but had been standing in the pasture for about a year the last time I was able to ride him and did wonderfully on the trail ride. The first time I rode him, it was through an industrial park complete with box trucks, barking dogs, wind, and railroad tracks. He did great! From what I was told, he was owned by a teen girl who trail rode him, then by an older gentleman who due to ill health had to sell him. I bought him from a lady who needed to sell him to move to her dream property out west. She only had a few spaces in her trailer and wanted to take her yearlings and brood mares. He is not a dead-head at all. He is a very sensitive horse and responds rapidly to pressure and cues. He will get frustrated if he doesnât know what is being asked of him, but once he âgets itâ, he willingly does what is asked of him. Due to this, he is not a beginner horse. He is UTD on vaccines, coggins, and dental work as of April 2023.
