Two Thoroughbred Mares
Both are 15.2 hh, registered thoroughbred mares, bays, barefoot, UTD on feet trimming, worming, teeth. 1 is a former racehorse. She was retired due to a suspensory ligament injury. She healed well and properly. She is a cribber. She is the dominant mare. They have been together for 10 yrs. The former racehorse finds it more difficult to be separated, though she will adjust. The 2nd mare has never been raced. She has a very laid back (even lazy) personality. She doesn't like to stand for the farrier. Though with consistent work, she will stand well.I have not done much with them in the fifteen months that I've owned them. My daughter has been on both of them in their paddock (bareback as well as saddled) We are english riders only, though former owner rode them western years ago. My twelve year old loves to work with the former racehorse in hand. They are not trained in any particular discipline (other than one having raced). They were entrusted to me by someone who could no longer care for them. They are not a financial burden...no kill buyers. I would prefer that they get re-homed together, but I'm willing to let them go to great homes separately. Serious inquiries only.
