This usually takes about 2-3 days, depending upon how easy it is to make contact with your references. KyEAC will notify you when your application has been approved, and you may then make an appointment with KyEAC to visit the equine(s) you are interested in adopting. Adopters are responsible for transportation arrangements and costs at the time of the adoption and in the event of return. Adoption fees are non-refundable. Please also note that Adopter agrees that the adopted equine may not be raced, bred, sold, given away or assigned by the Adopter, except as otherwise provided in the adoption contract. Further, we require adopters to complete an inspection on the adopted equine at 6 and 12 months after the date of the adoption.
