2017 Thoroughbred Gelding, 15.3h “Iggy” is a handsome, friendly young horse who is often the boss in the field. Upon arrival, radiographs showed his front leg sesamoids have severe roughening, and he has not been consistently sound. Because of this, he is best suited as a companion. Iggy was gelded later in life and can only be turned out with geldings. He is an easy keeper, barefoot, and knows basic groundwork. Come check him out! Adoption Fee: $500Adoption processAdoption Process Once a complete application is received, KyEAC will begin the screening process. This usually takes about 2-3 days, depending upon how easy it is to make contact with your references. KyEAC will notify you when your application has been approved, and you may then make an appointment with KyEAC to visit the equine(s) you are interested in adopting. Adopters are responsible for transportation arrangements and costs at the time of the adoption and in the event of return. Adoption fees are non-refundable. Please also note that Adopter agrees that the adopted equine may not be raced, bred, sold, given away or assigned by the Adopter, except as otherwise provided in the adoption contract. Further, we require adopters to complete an inspection on the adopted equine at 6 and 12 months after the date of the adoption. Provided the photos and veterinary report from these two inspections are satisfactory, KYEAC will then transfer full ownership of the equine to the Adopter at 12 months via a transfer letter.Shelter locationTours of our farm are conducted on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday year round via Horse Country tours.
