Nice Draft x Quarter
Shiloh is a gorgeous Belgian crossbred mare. She isnt real drafty though. She just looks like a really nice built Quarter Horse. Shes 4 years old and stands at 15 hands. She should mature to about 15.2 hands. When I bought her she was driving double with her halfsister Blaze who we just sold. I started her under saddle and weve been using her for novice teens and up to ride for the past 2 years. You can load her onto a trailer in less than 8 seconds and she backs out quietly. She has a very willing nature and is a lot of fun to ride. Ive taken her to Bensons Mule Days and went through the McDonalds Drive Thru at night with everyones headlights on to order food. She loads well rides out alone or in a group setting and will ride in any position peacefully. Shes affectionate and easy to catch. She picks up all 4 feet and can be sprayed for flies without a struggle. Shiloh is a fairly forward mover so she isnt suitable for a young child with no riding experience but would be great for a teen or adult with little to no riding experience. This mare is unflappable out on the trail. She doesnt spook or even break her stride. Navigating creeks bridges and fallen trees is second nature to Shiloh. She stands still for you to mount and dismount. People always ask why were selling our horses. Theres nothing wrong with them. Quite the contrary. Theyre for sale because its part of our business model we buy train put lots of trail hours on them and make them safe for beginners and eventually we sell them at a profit to compensate us for all the training and trail hours we have put on them. We dont have to speculate as to what age or riding level a rider needs to be at in order to ride them. We KNOW because theyve done it many times over. If we say a 6 yearold child with no riding experience can ride the horse then they can and have. And if we say we wouldnt put anyone younger than an inexperienced 10 yearold then you shouldnt consider the horse for your 5 yearold to ride on their own. All our horses sell as sound with no vices.
