2020 Thoroughbred Gelding, 16.1h “Lucky” is a handsome young gelding who, despite an unfortunate injury early on in life, has the potential to make a solid, easygoing groundwork-only horse. Lucky had a fractured left scapula that has since healed, but it restricts movement in that limb. He is pasture sound despite the old injury. Lucky is learning some ground manners and groundwork. Due to his young age, Lucky will need a home with someone with a kind and fair--but firm--hand to make sure he minds his manners and is able to handle him if he doesn’t. Overall Lucky is easy to get along with, not a jumpy or spooky type, and is pretty level-headed to be so young. Adoption Fee: $600Adoption processAdoption Process Once a complete application is received, KyEAC will begin the screening process. This usually takes about 2-3 days, depending upon how easy it is to make contact with your references. KyEAC will notify you when your application has been approved, and you may then make an appointment with KyEAC to visit the equine(s) you are interested in adopting. Adopters are responsible for transportation arrangements and costs at the time of the adoption and in the event of return. Adoption fees are non-refundable. Please also note that Adopter agrees that the adopted equine may not be raced, bred, sold, given away or assigned by the Adopter, except as otherwise provided in the adoption contract. Further, we require adopters to complete an inspection on the adopted equine at 6 and 12 months after the date of the adoption. Provided the photos and veterinary report from these two inspections are satisfactory, KYEAC will then transfer full ownership of the equine to the Adopter at 12 months via a transfer letter.Shelter locationTours of our farm are conducted on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday year round via Horse Country tours.
