Honest Gorgeous Appendix Mare
Raven is a grade, very sweet, very honest 13 year old Appendix mare. Standing at 16.1hh, this little mare has a lot of potential. Raven absolutely loves having a job and is very willing to learn and wants to please. Raven was at my trainers in Vincent Ohio for almost 2.5 months. Raven has been ridden in group lessons and does not seem phased by other horses or what they are doing. She has been ridden on trail rides prior to going to my trainerâs as well and seems content to do anything her rider asks of her. She goes over bridges, through creeks, mud, and even tunnels. Raven participated in a hunter pace on 10/9/21 that she seemed to really enjoy, as well as a dressage clinic at my trainerâs 11/13/21.Raven has never offered to kick, bite, buck, or rear. She picks up all 4 hooves and seems to the have the durability of solid quarter horse hooves. Rocks don't phase this girl. To my knowledge this girl has never worn shoes. We participated in a 7 mile trail ride at zaleski 4/23/22 and she was perfect. While Raven is a forward mover she requires a soft hand and a calm laid back rider. Raven will need an intermediate rider as she can get hot at times but is very quick to settle back down when asked. This is a wonderful mare with a ton of potential who needs her own person to give her a job and TLC. Raven stands for the farrier and LOVES a good bath. She loads on the trailer. She had a coggins as well as her teeth done 11/16/21.Raven is the type of mare that you can throw in the pasture for a few months and then when youâre ready to ride, take her out saddle her up and go. She might be a little anxious to get going but is a one of a kind mare. She loves having a job, or just getting pets. I put raven in a friends field for two months just to be a horse. I just started riding her again about 3 weeks ago. She does better getting brushed and tacked up in cross ties or tied up outside of her stall. While I have ridden her in a western saddle, I mainly jump her. She would be considered green with jumping.
