Greenbroke Half Arabian Mare
SC Indie - "Indie" Indie was born and raised with us here at Spirit Creek Arabians. Has had hands on and handling since she was born. She is very personable, sweet, and loving. In your pocket, following you around the pasture. She wants to be worked with! She is gaited (not heavily) but could be trained into being or not. Her breeding has more of a "shuffle gait" then an extended walk like a Tennessee Walker. The Spotted Mountain Horse descends from Kentucky Mountain Horses which the SMH is just a different registry for color. She is smooth and comfortable to ride. She was just started under saddle this Spring (Slowly) as she turned 3 in May. She still has filling out to do. She is currently lanky and I'd assume she won't grow more than 14H. Her dam is stockier and her sire was really built well. Only at a W/T under saddle as I do not push a canter on them this young and a W/T/C on the lunge line (with the saddle on). Her bloodlines are very family friendly, loyal, and willing trail mount/companions. She would be excellent for a youth rider with more miles put on her. She is ready to go. No buck, kick, rear, or bite since being started. She just needs more miles. Only selling her as she is too small for our main riders and I am the only one able to continue riding her (I'm 5'2).á Has had no health issues & is sound.âá Has had 3 months of training put into her. At a W/T.á Has good ground manners.á Patient, is not buddy sour.á Can be ridden bareback, bareback with just a halter/knot halter, or in a saddle.á Can swing up on her from the ground, climb all over her.á Ties - Has had hours of tying time - has been tied to the horse trailer, in the horse trailer, trees, hitching post, tied out overnight. Has not halter pulled once for us. á She lunges both ways.á Picks up her feet, stands great for the farrier! (Our farrier said she has great/awesome feet!).á Loads in trailer beautifully/stands nicely.á Crosses mud/water (We have a creek they cross through everyday with different levels of water).á Has had thorough desensitization and groundwork.á Has been desensitized to fire.á Has had work on hills and down hills.á Has been ponied from on horseback and by an atv.á Doesn't mind traffic - Has been around 4 wheelers, loud trucks, mowers, farm machinery.á Has been taught to step up onto, stand, and go over obstacles (mattress, tarps, bridge like objects, etc.)á Will walk over logs, branches, walk into and brush up against brush and long weeds/grass without issue.á Has no bad habits, vices. Started well and has a clear slate ready to be trained in any direction.á Has potential as an youth mount with more miles put into her.á Has had fly masks put on (Doesn't mind them but isn't afraid to take one off). á Has been blanketed á Is pastured in a herd and is higher in the ranking. She will pick on other horses but doesn't go after them to hurt them. Just doesn't want them in her space. á Has been stalled (Doesn't mind).á Has been bathedá Can have music played while riding her.Dams grandsire Crown Royal: http://www.kmsha.com/magazine/archives/08_Summer/mag_farm.htmRegistry Page information on Kentucky Mountain Horses & Spotted Mountain Horses: http://www.kmsha.com/index.htmâMore information, photos, and videos on our website: Spirit Creek Arabians (Please go there first before messaging for some).Buyer is responsible for transportation and all associated costs.
