**Please read full add***BO NEEDS HIS HUMAN TO LOVE!! This was a hard decision, up for consideration - Bo-tater, Aka Boseph (when heâs naughty) aka Tater aka Bo for short. Bo is a 12 year old grade Arabian gelding with a personality like no other - outgoing, opinionated, stubborn, but latches on to his person fiercely. He is very social and playful in the field. Can be turned out in a large mixed herd. Tends to stand in the lower end of the middle of the pole.Ideal home would be at a barn with other horses, but where he is someone's only horse, and someone could spend dedicated time with him every day. He would not be a good fit as a lesson horse, but would thrive in a structured program with his human working with a trainer with him. He also would love one dedicated, knowledgeable, and experienced horseman who could work with him for an hour or so (or more!) every day. He loves to work his brain, and has tons of energy and loves to work his body too. He will be excited to see you every day, and holler at you to hurry up and get to him. He will greet you at the gate or coming running to meet you when he sees you!! He LOVES kids. But needs supervision around them. Not a horse for an inexperienced, young kid. Bo lunges with cavesson, side reins, and saddle or surcingle. Needs work on consistently taking the bit and bridling. Patience on the ground is progressing over time. He has been intermittently ridden, but needs more work developing body awareness and balance on the line or in the round pen. Stands for farrier, but can be wiggly working on the right hind. Handles for the vet fine, dental requires sedation. Bathes outside with the hose at the fence and cross ties in aisle just fine, but close walls in wash stalls and grooming areas make him nervous. Can ground tie for brief periods of time. Up to date on coggins / shots / feet / dental.Barefoot and sound. Will be choosey on his home. Bo has been through a lot in his young 12 years and deserves happiness!! He is about 15.3, a laugh a minute and full of love. Must have a sense of humor for this horse!! Low maintenance.. but he does require his grain to be fed in water. Soup if ya will.. because he has an âirregularly shaped epiglottisâ and can choke/aspirate if not fed in water. Especially pelleted grain. Can eat grass,hay, and TREATS with no problem. I have been feeding him 1 scoop/ 2 times day along with electrolytes, and calming pellets (which is just my preference) Text/call/email Michelle for more Info. Only serious inquiries please.
