Description:

Vanpelt arrived at our facility in August 2019 after being rescued from auction. He was reportedly a cart horse and had four shoes on when he arrived. We believe he is either a Standardbred or Dutch Harness Horse. He is in his late teens and stands around 16 hands. Vanpelt has been out of work for the past year from being in a foster home. He was previously walk/trot under saddle but did have a bucking issue and due to this he is best as companion only. Vanpelt has a fantastic puppy dog personality, with an easy going attitude stands tied to be groomed/bathed. Vanpelt does best with no mares, but gets along with geldings out in the field. Equine placement fees range from $150 to $2000 depending on the age, training and abilities of the equine. The placement fee includes current vaccines, negative Coggins test, dental floating, de-worming and farrier trimming. All equine adopters must live within 3 hours of Last Chance Ranch in Quakertown, PA.
