Poseidon , 5 year old BLM mustang GeldingAbout 14.3-15hh. Iâll get exact soon. From rock creek HMAAll black with tiny white on his one foot.GORGEOUS MOVER, beautiful trot. Spook proof! This man is not afraid of anything. He is very curious and we had a tarp on him within 5 minutes. I have videos of that if needed. He is a sweetheart . he is a bigpuppy dog and I truly wish I could keep him to watch him flourish. He follows me around and respects all fences.He can:Lead Has been loaded but needs more practice as he doesnât love it Good with all 4 feet being touchedCan be touched all overLunges great Backs up on the groundHas been tied for long periods of a timeHas had 2 months professional training ( details below) Can w/t He has some issues which is why Iâd like him to go to someone experienced. Heâs made HUGE strides in improvements but I want to make sure he goes to a home where he is understood and worked with consistently. He does not like being forced, but if you let him work it out and are patient, he will do whatever asked. I am happy to go into detail on them in person or on the phone. The trainer he went to was a trainer that trained him what I call the âthe old school cowboy wayâ. He forced him into a lot of things he didnât want to do do before gaining his trust, and worked him until submission. As soon as I found this out, I brought him and have started training him myself. Unfortunately I was / still am recovering from a dislocated elbow so I havenât been able to make the progress Iâd like, but I have never seen him Buck or rear up. I have rode him around the round pen and sat on him bare back.He is YOUNG! He very much has a baby brain, but if he trusts he, he will do anything for you. As of right now, we do positive reenforcement and it works well, but he is known to get very pushy on the ground so someone will need to be just as dominant as sensitive. We always joke that heâd sit in your lap if he could. He really is getting there as he gains my trust, but I dislocated my elbow from a freak horse accident (not caused by him) and I donât have the time to train another one right now because I cant risk dislocating my elbow again so itâs just not worth the risk. Heâs a beautiful mover and he is absolutely beautiful and has puppy dog behavior on the ground once you get to know him. Heâs only had 70 days of professional training so a trainer or someone whoâs willing to work with his issues will get a great horse. He reminds me of an English horse!Now to another issue ???? he was very underdeveloped when I got him. He was very skinny and he has developed a locked stifle. We do pole work multiple times a week and he runs around like a maniac, but I advise against stalling him. He needs to go to a home where they will work on this and understand the exercises needed. Located in middle Tennessee. Can deliver or meet within reason.He is very loved but I have 3 other horses and he needs someone who isnât injured (me) and can give him more exercise and training.I will take him back if it does not work. Owner must be BLM approved in order to pay for the reassignment fee. This is an easy application through the BLM website
