Description:

Derby is a super sound horse, great feet, iron stomach, never had one health issue. Very sweet on the ground, but was taken from autistic therapy facility and is skittish around new people. Also sensitive with hind legs, but is OK with people he knows and farrier. He needs and intermediate or experienced rider because will buck with beginners to get them off. He is a horse that does best when ridden regularly. If sits for a while and not ridden needs to be lunged and worked out to get the bucks out, then will be well mannered. He is good on trail with other horses. Not confident to go out on trail alone and doesn't like to go alone but he will if you make him. He has not been ridden for 2 years as I've just been super busy with kids and work and want him to go to someone that has more time for him. He's also alone on my property and I think he'd be happier with other horses. He is quarter something, we think either Arab or Mustang because has shorter body and lighter frame than typical quarter. I ride with a 15" saddle.He's not built to take a huge saddle. See pictures. But he's strong and in good health. I'm moving and need to sell him by May 15th so all offers will be considered.
