My experience with Rancho Bravo/Lisa Paul has been a nightmare. I put $6000 down to be on her top tier list to find me a good horse. Over a year and a half and still no horse. I requested my money back several times of which she repeated "non-refundable". The contract stated approximately 30 to 90 days to find a horse for me and after a year long wait, I took her to court in Riverside. In front of the Judge she said she has the perfect horse for me and in my price range. The Judge felt I should check him out (Jr). We did a settlement agreement if horse accepted by me we would be done, if declined she had 3 months to offer one more prospect. It was looking good for me getting Jr, I had a vet check lined up, everything arranged to take him to the vet and she sold him to someone else. A month later she offers another horse named "Teddy", again I'm interested and asked for video. 2 days later when I requested the video again, she already sold him. So back to court for me and I won my case, she has to return my money. Over a month later and she still hasn't paid me and has not responded to my requests. Be aware, she moved from Calif to Texas, she has 25-30 people on her wait list who paid her deposits and still trying to recruit more people to join the wait lists by paying her a deposit. Also be aware even though you wait and wait for a horse, she won't return your money. If she does offer a horse you only have 24 hours to say yes or no, no time to even check out the horse or get a PPE. Some of the horses offered have had medical or health issues (stiffle injury, lameness, navicular) besides way over priced for what they are. Only costs $75 to file a small claims case up to $10,000. Anyone tired of waiting and unwilling to accept a "partial refund" I highly recommend taking her to court.
