PROVIDENCE is a 13 year old stunningly beautiful Rocky Mountain mare standing 15.1 hands with the trademark chocolate coloring for which Rockies are famous. She is one of the finest horses we have ever had the privilege of owning, gentle enough for 10 year olds to ride on trail in a hackamore! We have owned Providence for 5 years and she has been used as a public trail riding horse for children and adult beginner riders. Providence foundered (also called laminitis) about a year ago and we put her under veterinary care immediately. She is now rideable again but cannot do hard paved road surfaces for too long or she comes up lame. She can ride on dirt trails, softer surfaces just fine. She is otherwise in perfect health and truly a once-in-a-lifetime horse because of her gentleness!
