Offering for sale a stunningly beautiful, extremely willing and sweet gelding. Orion is a total mush and just melts your heart when you meet him. He'll follow you around at a respectful distance and loves to be hugged, groomed and loved on. He also rides nicely and has excellent natural horsemanship ground work training. He's been desensitized to all sorts of things (though has never seemed bothered by much) and has undergone a series of our saftey training, such as Anti-Drag Test, where he has learned to stop and patiently wait for assistance if somone falls off and gets caught in the stirrup. He has a smooth lope, a soft and springy trot, relaxed walk, and great stop and back up, as well as knows how to sidepass, pivot, hindquarter yield and rides collected.Orion enjoys arena or pasture rides, riding down the road or going to a playday with lots of people to pet him. While he hasn't competed quite yet, we think he is ready to.Orion was calm and quiet for a day-long very busy playday when he hauled him to one to try it out. Even stood tied up by the grandstands and wasn't bothered by flags, kids running around, strollers, people and horses all around him, lights, the annoucer, music and everything else that goes along with a playday. Orion isn't a fast fella, but we think he'd make a great mount for anyone wanting to keep it recreational and have fun on a flashy and kind riding partner. He's been lightly started on the patterns and can trot/lope them with ease and control.Orion has spent 6 months learning western dressage and arena trail obstacles and really shines in those areas. We think he'd be an amazing prospect for either of these options. However that doesn't mean he has to be a competitor. Our top priority is a good home and loving people for Orion, and he is clearly happy just being a recreational riding/trail horse, and we feel there is nothing wrong with that!I can't say enough good things about this horse, but with limited space to write, Orion can also: Load, unload and haul great, stand tied for hours without pawing, pacing or whinnying, isn't gate or buddy sour in the slightest and will gladly ride out alone, likes bathes, loves having his hooves trimmed and any kind of grooming. He doesn't care about dogs and puppies running around and even under his legs, no kick or bite whatsoever, does well with other horses and a donkey, is an easy keeper, requires no supplements - only hay and a little grain and he looks great! Orion has good solid hooves with no need for shoes. He is UTD on deworming and vacinations and is scheduled to have a routine dental check and a new coggins pulled the last week of June before we sell him. No scars, scrapes, bumps or lumps, he's 12 years old, selling as grade (priced accordingly), and 15.0 hands. .All that and so much more.
