Versatile Broke Mare!NEW PRICE
Ellie is a CHILD SAFE, FUN, VERSATILE mare with NICE conformation, clean legs and hooves and a refined, chiseled head w/ soft eye. Child safe. Sound and well broke. I can truly see her used for somebody in a lot of different capacities. She enjoys being groomed and really knows her job. In addition to me riding her, a young boy is riding her currently and having a nice time! She knows her stuff. Shes well schooled English and Western. Ellie Neck reins, knows her leads, jumps boldly and has the most amazing little western jog. My husband calls her ipad because we joke that we could write emails while at a jog on her! Ellie can also dig in and push from behind and trot out. And lately, Ive been letting her gallop since she had a lot of Western Pleasure training in her past, that I thought she could really use the freedom of a cross country gallop. She loves it! I think she could be a nice Beginer Novice Eventer for a kid or an fullgrown. Or an wonderful Eq. horse or hunter. Ellie is super WELL BUILT...really well muscled and goes on the bit and naturally flexes at the poll. She won a few blankets in Halter classes too. Im 5foot4 and fit her nice. Shed be good for a child or an fullgrown...and strong enough for a man. I also call her the Energizer Bunny...so yeah, she has lots of nick names...shes a good worker and not lazy. She will not spook or run off. Ellie is a cool little horse. I can really see her as that move up from a 1st pony horse or a Im coming back to riding after years away horse. Or if you want to show English or Western. She is SAFE! She ties, cross ties, clips, gets feet trimmed perfectly. Shes barefoot, (I use Renegade boots on hard surfaces). She enjoys baths in Summer trailers well, respects fence, leads well and is turned out fine with my gelding, (the alpha) and my 1 1/2 year filly, (the bottom). They are a happy family. Ellie always puts ears up which I love. I really wont mind keeping this mare around for a while and seeing how far I can take her. I plan to ride her w/ a trainer all Winter to keep her in the good shape that shes in now. This weekend I will be taking her to a Centered Riding Clinic and will give an update. UPDATE: Clinic went SUPER and ELLIE was a STAR! She definitely can be shown this coming Spring. Shes ready! But I have my filly to start in the Spring, and my gelding just isnt ridden enough. If Ellie sells to a special, decent rider young or old..Or a new rider with some supervision and training .that would be good. Ellie would be a lot happier as a 1 person or family horse rather than a lesson horse, because she has a sensitive side and spirit and also I think shed be really bored and unhappy in a ton of lessons. She deserves that!Ellie is super bred...Zippo Pine Bar and those make some SUPER riding horses! COOL MARE! And did I mention that she has one blue eye. A Cutie Pie! Flex on price to the right home.
